When childrenof is set, excludeprefix is not working, same goes when start_page is set. Is that the desired behavior?

Also when start_page is set collapse="1" is not working.

MenuManager is deprecated so no longer being supported, but I do recall it matters which order you specify the parameters.

It is possible some parameters will exclude others from being able to work. I'd suggest upgrading to Navigator, experiment with the order of the parameters, then if you still can't get it to do what you want, share your full Navigator tag and what you are trying to achieve with us. Sometimes there's a less-obvious (or more obvious) way of doing it.
