front end users publish content

Hello,

I'm looking for a way to achive these goals with CMSMS :

- restricted content for registered users (FrontEndUsers and CustomContent are ok)
- content published by registered users (users that are not allowed to go to the admin section !) in content pages, or news
- files uploaded by registered users (such as PDF, DOC files or images) and downloadable from the registered membres area

Do you know a module or a way to do this ? Can FrontEndUsers and CustomContent modules help me for this ?

Thank you,

Stanis

frontendusers and customcontent are 1/3 of what you need, uploads module is 1/3 more but for the last 1/3 I dont know any module.

I was contemplating writing a module like that for a site I may be building.  it'd allow members of authorized groups on the frontend to submit articles, that would then sit in limbo till approved by a backend admin, and then published to the news module in a certain category/categories.

I just haven't gotten to it yet, time, sickness, money, etc.

Actually can't uploads be used for this if you can change the fields, like how it's used for upload templates in the Themes....

The image for ad would be like the thumb and the text would be in the Description field etc. etc....

They just wouldn't be able to go back and change anything... in fact is there any way to put the description into a news article...

Just a thought?...
