Is there a possibility that the search module also search in pdf documents?
Or is there any other way to add a pdf search function to a cmsms website?
Any ideas?

its not as simple as it sounds, pdf files would need to be parsed through to find the text...

yes but, there already exists a module that does it, its called Swish-e (http://swish-e.org/)

Has anyone tried to make a module for CMSMS? Drupal has one and it would be great if CMSMS did. I'll look into it myself and see if I can make the module (if I can fit it in my schedule).

I have searched the forge and the forum. Haven't found anything so I need to ask the same question -- is it possible to search within PDF files with any CMSMS modules?
