We recently had a couple of user who kept getting logged out when they were using specific wifi connections (BT for one).

That was down to the way their IP address kept changing. We logged it as a bug and it was fixed in version 2.2.7 (thanks gang).

We've not had the problem since upgrading to to 2.2.7 so give that a go first.

Are you on version 2.2.7 yet?

On older versions of CMSMS the IP address was used as part of the login hash, which meant if you were on some dodgey wifi connection that kept swapping IP addresses it would keep asking you to reauthenticate.

That was changed in 2.2.7 though so try upgrading if you're on a lower version.

If you're already on 2.2.7 then, hell, who knows.

Possibly something to do with the session path not being writable? Check that, check your error logs (php and access) and confirm that the server isn't using mod_security.
