front end users?

I dont know if this is the right module, but i installed it anyways....
What I want is to have users login from the index page and be able to view certain pages created by the admins... is this possible?

Ok I have done a search and found out that I need CustomContent and FrontEndUsers Modules installed...
I have installed them, but I am still clueless.... I want it so that when you are at the index page, you have a login prompt for a user to login and be able to view the pages that I have allowed for that user...
How can I set this up

I haven't tested them but I think you are right with Front End Users and Custom Content.
Unfortunately they haven't any documentation in the forge. But look inside the administration interface : there is help for each module in the module manager.
