This was changed a while ago.

Take a look at
https://www.smarty.net/docsv2/en/langua ... format.tpl

e.g. {$yesterday|date_format:"%A, %B %e, %Y"} will display as Monday, December 1, 2021

You will need to update the CGCalendar templates that are in use on your site. Post again if you need further help.

Thank you for the quick reply. To be clear, I'm meaning the literals for the days of the week in the top row of the full calendar--that's all that's amiss in the functioning of the calendar. I'm using the most recent default templates that came with the module. Looking at the template "CGCalendarfull" which I assume controls this display, are the following lines that seem to have relevance to the day names:
dayNames: {$datestrings.dayNames},
dayNamesShort: {$datestrings.dayNamesShort},
firstDay: {$firstdayofweek},
columnFormat: {
month: 'ddd',
week: 'ddd d/w',
day: 'dddd d/M'
},
buttonText: {
today: '{$text_today|cms_escape}',
week: '{$text_week|cms_escape}',
month: '{$text_month|cms_escape}',
day: '{$text_day|cms_escape}'
},

If that's not where I should be looking, then where?
Forgive me if I'm not on the right track or misunderstand but I'm not a coder/programmer, just a user with enough knowledge to be dangerous. :)

Are you using the default "CGCalendar FullCalendar View Sample" template in the layout list or have you created a new template from the options dropdown?

If not try to create a new "CGCalendar FullCalendar" template of type "CGCalendar::fullCalendar View".
Then you are sure your using the latest "CGCalendar FullCalendar" template.

I thought I had the default template (had not created or edited any) but fooled around , going into file with cpanel file manager, costing and wasting and , surprise! now getting the short day literals where they should be. Thanks. All is good. :)
