Metadata being deleted after ClearCacheTask

CMSMS Version 2.1.4
I have experienced 3 occurrences an unusual phenomenon which effectively deletes the Global Settings > Global "Metadata block" and the “Site Name” from General Settings too.
The occurrences were roughly 3 months apart and seem to occur just after ClearCacheTask.
I am very keen to resolve this issue so any clues or other reports of similar occurrences would help greatly.
