Copy all content from one site to another

Hello,
is there any way how I can copy all pages from old site on CMS MS 1.12 to totally new one on 2.2?
I need content pages and news.

CGContentUtilities offers that capability, but not sure how well it will work between versions. Worth a shot, obviously have reliable backups first.

Or how about: make a copy of the 1.12 site and upgrade it to 2.n[latest]. The upgrade process keeps the content and is detailed in the docs area.
