Help! with error: Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/tmp/mysql.sock' ...l/lib/adodb/drivers/adodb-mysql.inc.php on line 355


I was editing a page in one of my client's pages when all of a sudden I got the preceding error.  It was working fine 5 minutes previous.  Anybody have any ideas?

Sounds like mysql died to me.  Sure it's still running?

Thanks Wishy.  I should have checked before posting.  It seems that right after I posted i noticed there were other problems that seemed to be related to the host server.  seems it was down for a short period.  I did learn something though!  I sure appreciate the forums and the help one can find here.
