DB user during upgrade

Just wondering why the DB-user (+ password) assigned in the config.php isn't used during the upgrade?
Yep, as a safety measurement you now need to fill in the database password again.
Why? Imagine you forget to remove the Installation Assistent file from the server. Bad guys can use the file to get access to your database and website.
