CMSMSlink plugin & News Articles

Posted this earlier on another forum, but figured it was probably the wrong one 
So here goes again:
Is it possible to configure the CMSMSlink plugin in FCKeditor and TinyMCE (the plugin which allows you to link to CMSms content pages) so you can link to News articles?
