PDF document gallery - is it possible?

Hello everyone!
I'm trying to create a page with a dozen of PDF documents for viewing and downloading. Each document should be presented with a thumbnail of its front page. Click on the thumbnail should open PDF document in a new window.
I can do it in plain HTML but I was wondering if there is a module capable of treating documents as images so they could be called and edited (similar to images in Gallery module)?
HTML approach gets the job done but it's not convenient for page editors. Good thing, on the other hand, is - PDF's should be changed on yearly basis so it won't be too much work for administrator...
Basically, it seemed like interesting question which could, at least, help me learn something new about existing modules and their features and capabilities.
Thank you in advance for hints or suggestions!
Best regards,
Jakovbak

Hello Jos and thank you for your suggestionas. LISE could do it but not quite easy as Gallery module. Worth of considering thou... I have to check features of Uploads module (can't do it right now) and I'll be back with conclusions.
Thank you and have a nice day!

Hello again!
For the time being, I have decided to create and extra content block with wysiwyg OFF and to put there a plain HTML gallery of documents.
First, my deadline is very close and I had to make it work no matter what. Second, these documents are going to last at least one year so I'll deal with dynamic approach later. And third, wysiwyg OFF is also a note to the editor saying "Don't touch this!" :-)
Thank you for suggestions and have a nice week.
Regards,
Jakovbak
