When adding and removing templates via Design Manger [templates]-tab the busy icon is not always removed.

The notifications "Templates Deleted / Templates Saved" do show up the action completes but sometimes the busy animation hangs.

It happens inconsistent not with every attempt. I tested with Firefox 52.0 the JavaScript debugger does not show any output.

You tried to clear browser cache?
I can't reproduce...

Did a fresh installation and cleared cache. This won't break the functionality it is purely cosmetic and it only happens now and then.

Hope animated gifs can be attached to illustrate.

I can't reproduce also using rev 11166

I just noticed this behaviour in an excisting 2.1.6 website... So if it is some kind of (very minor) bug it isn't particularly for the new 2.2 version.

I think you can close this issue, the busy animation is non blocking. Click further or refresh the browser window and it disappears like magic.
