I'm doing a new install of 2.1.6 on a local host (Xampp, it's a new install too)
Everything goes well but when I check the Module Manager in Admin
it says the Menu Manager is not active, although it is installed and it has a red down-arrow with exclamation mark.
I can "make it active" but nothing happens - ie. it does not appear in the Admin panel.
I have tried reinstalling 2.1.6 several times (new downloads) with the same results.
I've also tried removing and reinstalling Menu Manager by itself.
I've even wiped XAMPP and started over with it.

I now declare myself lost and throw myself on the mercy of the court.

If you are using MenuManager, it must be active.

In 2.x MenuManager does not have an admin interface, and does not appear in the admin navigation.

Navigator is similar. It does not have an admin interface, and does not appear in the admin navigation.

If this is a new install, please take the time to learn Navigator. MenuManager will be removed from later distributions.

I'm updating myself (and my website) from 1.10.3 so I have some catching up to do.

Where would I have found this and other changes?
There is no mention of the changes in the Help file and the 2.0 docs still call it a core module.

Given the clue of Navigator I found the "introducing 2.0" page

I'm not sure you hardcore guys realize how much stuff there is in the documentation and how difficult it is (for a dope) to trip over if you don't know to go looking for a specific item.
