module manager has stopped working

i went to install a module a few days ago and the module manager has stopped working

if i click the link under site admin i get a plain text page (no hyperlinks side menus etc etc) that says the main text from the module manager

i have tried replacing the folder in /modules/ModuleManager but that hasn't done anything

any help appreciated

Usually that means there's a PHP error breaking the page somewhere. The best thing to do now it to make sure you have the PHP error logs properly setup and search the logs for the latest errors. That should give you a clue of what is breaking (possibly one of the modules). Without that there is not much else you can do to debug it.

ive fixed it

following the broken modules theme i went to replace all the modules and noticed modules listed that arent on the installed list.

it looks like one of the other admins had tried to install a module and its dependencies and it had failed (cgextensions, cgSimpleSmarty and cgcalendar) and the installation had failed I've deleted all the relevant module files and it seems to have fixed it
