I have a sidebar menu at this site: http://web64147.mysolarhost.com/

The sidebar you see is hard-coded.

My questions are:

1. How do I tag that area to have a second menu?
2. I assume that if I tag it properly, it will show me the options in the Content Pages to apply the page to it?

Appreciate the assistance.

Typically (in CMSMS 2.x) you use {Navigator...} for that.

Use a Navigator template that generates the html exactly as you want (you problably have to modify a sample template to fit your needs).

If the side bar menu is dynamic (e.g. different based on page currently visited) you have to use some parameters in the {Navigator...} to make it happen. Read the help of Navigator module (Site Admin -> Module Manager (Installed modules tab) -> click 'help' link the 'Navigator' row.

No. In CMSMS a menu is build of the (sub)tree of existing Content objects (typically pages, separators, section headers etc). You do NOT connect a page (content object) to a menu (though you can prevent individual pages from being shown in menus).
Remember the 'simple' in CMS Made Simple; when an editor adds a page, he would expect it to appear in the menu.

Check the example templates in the default content of a new CMSMS install.
