{Navigator} default, no menu shows

I created a new template: Navigator::Navigation and just used the default template that it loaded and set it to default. In my page template, I just have {Navigator} and yet my menu is not appearing.
What am I doing wrong? There are no errors, it's just not appearing. Do I need to set the template name? Sorry, I'm so used to the old cmsms
