How to generate a module-xml-file?

Hi all,

I have just released my first module in the forge. I have zipped my module-directory and did an upload. This was working fine. But I have no idea, how to create a coresponding xml-file, so that this module can directly be installed in CMSMS. Any hint? Are there any instructions for a correct upload?

Thanks a lot!

Peter

Please add the "CMSMS-2" tag in the Forge when the module is ready for Core 2.x

Hi Rolf,

done. I have two further questions i ill ask here, because I cannot find a better board:

1) I have marked this discussion to notify me by e-mail. Your first response was notified, the second not. I have seen this behaviour with other boards too.

2) I want to add a "solved"-tag to the subject. Somewhere is written, that the subject of the original posting should be changed. I can't find a possibility to do that.

1. The email notifications I get include the words "no more notifications will be sent until you visit the topic." Once I visit the topic, I get further notifications on new replies. I presume it is done like this to stop you being irritated by unwanted multiple notifications if you lose interest.

2. Click the "edit" button by the first post.

That is the problem: The button is not available for older postings.
