I confirm.
I test in local with the BD from Pavlov and a BD from an other french user
The update to 2.1.2 is OK, But on Admin problem with the module Navigator "N'est pas installé"
and if I try to install it, I have a message "Template Type with the same name already exists".
That's seems the same BUG I reported
Navigator not installed after update
[EDIT] on test 1.12.1 : I set all page with template NCleanBlue
delete all the templates except NCleanBlue
Test web site OK
Upgrade to 2.1.2 and in Admin
So I have now
Content manager
NCleanBlue 3 set for all pages
In design
1 NCleanBlue (template = NCleanBlue And Style
ncleanblueutils, ncleanbluecore, Layout_NCleanBlue )
40 NCleanBlue 3 set as default (template = NCleanBlue 3 And Style
none )
So the web site have No stylesheet
In templates
3 NCleanBlue Core::Page NCleanBlue
36 NCleanBlue 2 Core::Page Aucun
67 NCleanBlue 3 Core::Page NCleanBlue 3
In modules
problem with the module Navigator "N'est pas installé"
and if I try to install it, I have a message "Template Type with the same name already exists".

Tested again.
Fresh install of CMSMS 1.12.1
Tested that it worked fine.
Did an upgrade using the phar installer, basic mode to 2.1.2
Went to Site Admin >> Module Manager.
Nothing went into my error log during the upgrade process.
Navigator 1.0.2 IS installed.
Sorry... but you are going to have to do more digging.

A fresh install works fine, but not my install.
I can send you my DB if you want to test.

So I have now...
I just did these steps like described and all still works for me. And Navigator is installed.
@pavlov PM me a link to the database or something and I will try
But if we can't reproduce this, there is nothing to fix.
We can not just change
"some code" at line
"n" if we can't reproduce and so test it!

Thanks Pavlov, I could reproduce it with your database!
So it probably is a language / character thingy...
Now we try to debug it.

Same issue here too - upgrade from 1.12.2 to 2.1.2. Deleted modules that aren't compatible with 2.0, set all pages to NCleanBlue template, deleted all other templates. Navigator is not installed and if I try to install it I get "Template Type with the same name already exists."

Hi,
Is just stumbled upon the same problem. As far as I can see the alert you get ('Template Type with the same name already exists') says it al. In my case there were already 2 template types related to a not-installed module.
I managed to fix it by manually removing the 2 records from the database, after which I could install the module.
NOTE: I realize this is not really a fix, but since I only got this problem this one time, it works fine for me. All the other upgrades to CMS2.x work fine!

Navigator can not be installed because the type already exists in the database.
cms_layout_tpl_type:
navigator navigation and
navigator breadcrumbs.
Just delete these 2 records and then install the module

Thx stijlXpres, I just wanted to clarify your message.

I had tried the fix that you suggest (deleting those two template types from the database) and it did allow me to install navigator, but it caused other problems. I can't remember the specifics because it was months ago, but I think it wouldn't allow me to create or edit any templates. Something like that. So just be careful if you try deleting those records, and make sure you have a backup.

The bug occurs when trying to upgrade from 1.12.2 to a 2+ after missing a first upgrade (the painful beginnings of v2.0.0) .
This failed installation created the cms_layout _ *** tables. Upgrade failed, i have just imported my db snapshot to recover my site, waiting the future patch.
Unfortunately, importing the snapshot (backup) is not a DROP (delete) tables and db 1.12 coexists with specific tables 2.0.
Here's how you can reproduce the bug.
Just delete the cms_layout _ *** tables or only 2 records mentioned above in the BD Site 1.12 BEFORE performing the upgrade to 2.1.4.
Navigator module is automatically installed during the update, and you can edit templates.
Thanks to Rolf, stijlXpres, Jean le Chauve and google translate

So therefore the issue is.... you didn't properly restore before you attempted the next upgrade. Probably due to not clicking the correct boxes in phpmyadmin or something.
