Upgrade issues part2

Post by duplay »

I did a fresh install on my MAC server of CMS v.13 clean install, then i tried to copy paste the new 1.0.2 files (test upgrade from .13 to 1.0.2 and get a error that says i dont have suff. permissions for some of the items. I have full read/write access to the server and am working directly on it (no upload).

any idea what this may be ref to?

Thanks,

MJD

installer creates config.php for you and tmp has contentcache which is also created by the server. so those files could (depending on your server settings) be owned by someone else than you.

check file ownerships and permissions..

I have read/write access to everything in my site folder. When you say "installer" creates config.php, you mean me right, b/c the last versions have asked that I create the config.php and give read/write access to. I have done updates in the past with no issues.

also, i noticed that the menus worked kinda funky on a version of Windows Vista with the new internet explorer. do you have nay plans for a update with this?

Still if you get permission denied errors while copying those new files in place it is a permission problem..

nav has been tested in IE7beta2 (or beta3 cant remember)
