CMS Made Simple Forums

I want to have two sites links to the same database (I want one site to be standard site-works on OSX) and another site (to work on OS9 with the new "simple template" that just shows the text). I am trying to avoid having to update two sites with the same info.

my question is could i create a new site and just link it to a already cready database with info in it?

May be you can make one site (one cmsms, one db) with 3 "spaces" : OSX, OS9 and AllMacs.
Each space/section could have its own template/design.
You can have 2 or 3 news categories etc.
