Go to Module Manager and upgrade the News module manually.
Clear cache

I have continued my tests :
-on page listing articles : "select all" does not work
-delete article blocks backend
-a delete of all news template does not solve the problem
-uninstall and reinstall news module solve all problems. But for me this is not a good solution because I lose all articles and templates

I try the following steps to repare

1- save the tables begining by cms_layout... and cms_module_news...
2- uninstall and reinstall news
3 -suppress cms_layout... tables
4-import cms_layout... tables and cms_module_news... precedently save

The templates and the news are here. Hourray!! BUT one template does not works properly now:

Code: Select all

{$num_article=0}

{if $pagecount > 1}
  <p  style="text-align : center;  margin-bottom : 2px; padding-bottom: 5px; border-bottom : 2px solid #ccc;">
{if $pagenumber > 1}
{$firstpage}&nbsp;&nbsp;{$prevpage}&nbsp;
{/if}
{$pagetext}&nbsp;{$pagenumber}&nbsp;{$oftext}&nbsp;{$pagecount}
{if $pagenumber < $pagecount}
&nbsp;{$nextpage}&nbsp;&nbsp;{$lastpage}
{/if}
</p>
{/if}

{foreach from=$items item=entry}

{* on modifie detailpage en fonction de la catégorie de l'article en paramétrant news*}
{$detail_page="nouvelle"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-actualites"}

{if $entry->category == 'Travaux en cours'}
{$detail_page="travaux-en-cours-detail"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-travaux"}

{elseif $entry->category == 'Techniques 3D'}
{$detail_page="travaux-en-cours-detail"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-travaux"}

{elseif $entry->category == 'Actualités'}
{$detail_page="actualites-detail"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-actualites"}

{elseif $entry->category == 'Mise à jour du site'}
{$detail_page="actualites-detail"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-actualites"}

{elseif $entry->category == 'Pédagogie'}
{$detail_page="pedagogie-detail"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-travaux"}

{elseif $entry->category == 'musées'}

{$detail_page="musees-details"}
{$gabarit_det="News-Detail-musees"}
{news idlist="{$entry->id}"  summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop_ss_image"    detailtemplate="News-Detail-musees" detailpage="$detail_page"}
{/if}

{if $num_article==0}

{news idlist="{$entry->id}"  summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop"    detailtemplate="$gabarit_det" detailpage="$detail_page"}
{else}

{news idlist="{$entry->id}"  summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop_ss_image"    detailtemplate="$gabarit_det" detailpage="$detail_page"}

{/if}

{$num_article=$num_article+1}

{/foreach}
in :

Code: Select all

{news idlist="{$entry->id}"  summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop"    detailtemplate="$gabarit_det" detailpage="$detail_page"}
$gabarit_det is not used instead news uses default template. Before my surgery on Data base all works fine.

I have my doubts that it may have worked before...

The correct Smarty syntax is either:

Code: Select all

{news idlist="{$entry->id}" summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop" detailtemplate="{$gabarit_det}" detailpage={$detail_page}"}
or

Code: Select all

{news idlist=$entry->id summarytemplate="actualites_mini_pop" detailtemplate=$gabarit_det detailpage=$detail_page}
and I recommend the last one for less overhead.

Thank you for the correction. But now, after reinstalling news, none of this versions works : detailtemplate is always ignored and default used.

In a template page I use this

Code: Select all

{news  summarytemplate ='actualites_mini_pop' detailtemplate='News-Detail-musees' number ="6"  lang='fr_FR' category="actualités,Mise à jour du site,Travaux en cours,Techniques 3D,Pédagogie,musées" }

default detail template is "News-Detail-actualites"
News uses "News-Detail-actualites" instead of "News-Detail-musees"

Is detailtemplate always functional in V2?

I test on a freshly install V2. In simplex core::page we have

Code: Select all

{News summarytemplate='Simplex News Summary' number='2' detailtemplate='Simplex News Detail'}
and "Simplex News Detail" is not the default template. The page uses "Simplex News Detail" then detailtemplate works.
Uninstall and reinstall "News" seems not having any effect on detail template.

I do not understand why on my website detailtemplate does not work after Uninstall and reinstall "News". I tested it with the base template (simplex and News Detail Sample all other news template are deleted) and again, it is the default template that is selected instead of the writing template after detailtemplate. Anything wrong in the database?

The problem is with one of my UDT. After deleting it all works fine (I hope ;D )
