Hi! We're having some trouble with pasted content from MS Word. I know that MS Word puts a lot of junk in code, but is there any way to filter these "xml" tags in MicroTiny?

Thank you!

No, the best way is to either export from word to a txt only format and copy from there or use a notepad like application to paste 1st, and then copy to MicroTiny. Although there seems to be some WYSIWYGs with plugins to "clean" text from Word, there is no foolproof way to do it afaik.

As far as I understood MicroTiny is based on TinyMce, which has an excellent paste as plain text button - never had any problems with it.
Having to use Notepad as an inbetween to be able to paste text is imo a major drawback of MicroTiny.
I know of some of my clients who will have issues with that everytime they copy and paste ...
Adding a button paste as plain text, or make it the default for pasting, would greatly improve the user friendliness of MicroTiny.

Agreed. We need to be thinking about the average end user for this if possible. Pasting to an intermediate application is not really viable when there was a solution in the old version.

Grateful if this can be re-instated with the work which is being done on the editor please. Also basic stuff like tables which several of our users need. It may sound trivial to some of us more technical types, but it's this sort of thing which makes users forget about all of the other benefits of CMSMS and start talking about bl**dy WordPress.... So we need to keep them on board where we can please.

Thanks
Dave

All should be taken care of in CMSMS 2.1.
