[Solved]News deleted detail page

Set a Default page to use for detail views (Settings - News module - options), then delete it.
You no longer have the option to change the default page, the dropdown disappeared.

I had to uninstall then install the news, now I'm able to change the default page again.
The problem appear only with Simplex and some text into the {$main_content}. It seem's a scope problem.

Okay. rolf provided clearer instructions and I was able to reproduce it.
