upgrading from 1.12 “Pohnpei”

I've followed upgrading/general-information to: 7. Point your browser to <cmsmadesimple folder>/install/upgrade.php

My unzipped 2.0 download has 2 files only. cmsms-2.0-install.php and README-PHAR.TXT

The path on 7. won't work, because I do not have a install folder or a upgrade.php

Do I just run <cmsmadesimple folder>/cmsms-2.0-install.php

I've tried it and all is good except a caution, PHP Version
You have: 5.4.44 and whole bunch of folders and files that do not have write permissions. I changed the permissions and step 3 had no issues. Everything went good until step 8 and nothing hung right there and lost my site. Had to use my back up to get things back.

Any idea of what I am doing wrong? Any help appreciated.

Yes! And the documentation is not yet up to date, but we are working on it.

My first recommendation is: clone the site to a subdir and test the update there 1st. Then if all is good copy back to the main site. Backups still recommended, of course.
Secondly look at the PHP error logs to see if there is any clue about what fails, or (as recommended on the README file) use ?debug=1 to help pinpoint the error.
System details are also needed.

I am having the same issue... I had cloned the entire site, had it running fine... then I run the 2.0 upgrade.

I get through all the steps and then it gets to step 8, upgrading the database and it hangs....(see screenshot) Not sure what I am doing wrong to get it to hang at this point..

Any help would be appreciated.

I passed all the tests necessary for the install.

Also in relation to the prior post... I receive this error at the bottom of the step 8 page.

Fatal error: Class 'CMSMS\internal\global_cachable' not found in /urldirectory/include.php on line 113

I have a sneaky suspicion there are other issues.

Please try the debug mode, and/or make sure error logging is turned on to a suitable level, and watch your error logs.

I tried the debug thing and nothing happened...
