CMS Made Simple Forums

This is my first time around the block with FEU.

The install went fine and I'm following the instructions in the Module Help.

When I add my first user, I get the following error message when I "Submit":
Field 'password' doesn't have a default value

A search in the Forums doesn't yield any useful clues. A Google search suggests that this may be a MySQL error rather than an FEU error. Can anyone suggest a path forward, please?

Hello Jim,

I just tested adding a frontend user via the admin panel (using CMSMS 1.12.1 and FEU 1.30.4) and it worked without problems.

It would certainly help if you provided more details about your system (e.g. Site Admin => System Information => View text report).

To me the error looks as if, for some reason, CMSMS is not transmitting the password that you entered in the form to the MySQL database (which would then be the reason, why mysql tries looking for a default value).
Note also that you are apparently not the only one with this problem

By default passwords will require at least one uppercase alphabetic character and one digit.

Thanks for the tip, but:
- I had seen that tip somewhere and was already compliant
- I re-tried today (just to be sure) and I got the same error
