As usual we need system info, at least...
Have a look at the content source of the specific page (untick the 'View HTML' checkbox).
Did you happen to copy/paste some code in it from Word or a PDF or ...
Especially { and } characters are suspects of causing error when updating only content.
EDIT: and what JoMorg says of course. Missed that.
