Fatal Error when I include cutenews

Dear sir/madam,
When I want to include cutenews in a page, i get the error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare check_login() (previously declared in /var/www/c/mywebsite/HTML/lib/page.functions.php:37) in /var/www/c/mywebsite/HTML/cute_news/inc/functions.inc.php on line 81
Can somebody help me?

That's a tricky one... CMSMS and CuteNews are using the same function name. Basically, it's going to have to be changed for one or the other.
Does anyone have time to figure out a quick fix? I'm kind of busy today.
Actually, CuteNews is pretty intriguing. It's much more featured than our News module. I almost wonder if it would be worth embedding in a module as a decent alternative...

Well, I got it working after messing with cutenews's code (which is VERY inconsistent). It displays news, but links to Comments and stuff still don't work. I would advice turning them off.
I'm not sure how to get it to reinstall. You probably have to remove the data/config.php file for it to force it to reinstall and be able to set a new admin user. If it doesn't work right, let me know and I guess I can play with it some more.
If someone wants to take this over and clean it up further, you're more than welcome. (read: PLEASE!!!!)

What I have to do exactly? Replace the files of the links with the files on the server?

I think it's a great idea to embed cutenews.
I use it a couple of years, but then i used CMS MS.
Then it did'nt worked any more (Like more people have i see)
Perhaps it's easier to edit Cutenews?
I will give it a try!

After i changed some codes, i get the news, but also a couple of warnings.
Somebody know what these are, and how to "remove" it?
