Following this (closed meanwhile):

This is also happening to me. I don't have CGSmartimage installed.
Having to clean cache two or more times a day...
Have implemented this also
http://stackoverflow.com/a/13276808/1004312
With no success...

I have transferred all the blobs to the template, so it is getting harder to get.
Can't we put something in the end of the template that forceCloses all DB connections upon Successfully loading the page?

We need far more data from your part than that, to be able to try to help. Click on "Before Asking For Help!" link on my SIG.

Hi Jo... that seems to be the problem... I cannot give much more information...because everything is working fine, and after some time (sometimes an hour, sometimes a day) when I go to one of the news posts e.g.:
http://www.apdsi.pt/index.php/news/852/ ... -2014.html
The content obtained on the right side (after "Documentos Produzidos") isn't there...
But it happened everywhere. In a template without {news module} it happened with the GCB I was using for the footer...
The problem is exactly like all the problems described by tristan on the Other post I mention.
???From reading that post, it seems that FB/openGraph is hammering the database by requesting pages that aren't fully loaded hence the DB connections aren't beeing closed...

(My economics degree doesn't let me pass a certain extent

)
I was wondering if there is some kind of mechanism that when a page loads, it resets all connnections to the database... like a persistent connection= 'NO' on the config file... or something like that...

Please post your
System Info. There is an already forum formatted version too.
The closed topic was clearly an issue with CGSmartimage. This apparently is not.
And the link you posted is taking too long before it gives a Smarty error (btw: the error details are visible only to an administrator so we can't really see them).

Just switched all GCB calls for
{include file='globalcontent:nameofblock'}
...following Rolf's idea.
let's see what happens during the day... yesterday, it was the main page that was incomplete, and the fail to load the template you experienced.
I am betting that it can be the my provider's DB capacity that is overloading, but as this started happening when I updated the site's design and programmed the templates to depend on GCBs... Now I have an Administration pointing fingers and crying fowlplay :p.

The last few posts were indeed to do with CGSmartImage but some other sites posted earlier in the topic (like mine) with the same symptoms didn't have CGSmartImage installed, so that is not the answer to the problem.

That is IMO one more reason to have a new topic on the subject, as the original one was about 2 or more different problems. For a developer, that is the worst thing when trying to diagnose the causes of a problem. Problems wich may have similar symptoms but different causes need to be set apart. At least the ones caused by CGSmartImage got solved on that particular topic.
This one is different in that there is no CGSmartImage installed.
