Products Module Expire date

Hi
Is it possible to have an expire date to a product so that the product is not displayed after the set date, and can then be edited if required in the list.
Much appreciated if someone could explain which template this could be added to if not already available.
Even better if the product could also have a start date so that products can be setup in advanced.
