Hi all,

Last couple of years ive used cmsmadesimple, and a few eeks ago, i changed hosts, though i did make sure i grabbed the sql file

now, ive installed latest version, but having serious issues getting this new website to use the old sql file

obviosuly different cms version, table names different etc

it's giving me a headache, but no idea how to use my old sql file

usually ide just suck it up and redo the conent, but there are 50 pages, and 2000+ links etc

is there a way to mass convert old sql with new table name for mysql, and make it also fit latest cmsmadesimple version

thanks
mikey

I think your only chance is starting with the original version, import database and then upgrade to latest cmsms.

well, i tried and failed at the re-installation for an old cmsmadsimple mainly due to the fact i only guessed at the version, then the SQL insert would'nt work

however, in the end, i did get the site all going again with the latest cms version

as my site is years old, good ol' archive dot org had all my pages intact.

took a few hours to remove their inserted bits, but it's all good now

mental note to do it right next time ;)

If you have installatron on your new hosting, you could use that to auto update your CMSMS install. that if your install is not older than 1.10 i believe.

Its worth checking it out.
