Advanced Content has ruined my site.

Hi All,

I had just gotten my head around CMSMS and created a nice site and thought I would try to install "Advanced Content" module. Once I did this, my website and my web admin page no longer worked.

The error was in the FrontEndUsers.module.php so I restored the previous and got the site and admin section working again.

However when I try to go into the "Module" section of "Extensions" to uninstall "Advanced Content" or anything else, I get the following error message:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'FrontEndUsers module not found!' in /home3/directar/public_html/modules/FEUMailForm/FEUMailForm.module.php:17 Stack trace: #0 /home3/directar/public_html/lib/classes/class.moduleoperations.inc.php(540): FEUMailForm->__construct() #1 /home3/directar/public_html/lib/classes/class.moduleoperations.inc.php(987): ModuleOperations->_load_module('FEUMailForm', false) #2 /home3/directar/public_html/lib/classes/class.moduleoperations.inc.php(695): ModuleOperations->get_module_instance('FEUMailForm') #3 /home3/directar/public_html/include.php(263): ModuleOperations->LoadModules(true, false) #4 /home3/directar/public_html/admin/listmodules.php(26): require_once('/home3/directar...') #5 {main} thrown in /home3/directar/public_html/modules/FEUMailForm/FEUMailForm.module.php on line 17

I don't want "Advanced Content" I just want to uninstall it to get my site back to being completely operational.

Any ideas?

Thanks
CB

To de-install you can simply rename the advancedcontent directory in root/modules/

Have a look at using the Extended Content Blocks (ECB) module instead of Advanced Content. It has the same basic features but doesn't break the site or require the user to select a Content Type for each page.
