Upgrade problem from 1.11.4 to 1.11.10

Not sure whether to post in the forum or submit a bug report???

Upgraded a site today from 1.11.4 to 1.11.10. Luckily was a copy of a live site on my dev system and I had backups of both files and db.

The upgrade initiated correctly and I double-checked the URL was mylocalsite/install/upgrade.php.

The upgrade went smoothly and all the expected screens appeared.

Went to the admin area, cleared the cache, etc then looked at Extensions->Modules. All were there.

Went to the front end and the site crashed. Huh?

After a bit of looking I discovered that although all my db tables were in tact, the files for every module I had installed, ie everything except core modules in the modules directory, had been deleted!

I'm fairly certain I did everything correctly - it's not like it was the first time - and I was able to reinstate the files from backups to get the site working again.

Is this a bug or a hiccough on this particular upgrade?

Upgraded around 25 installations of various versions (among of those also 1.11.4 -> 1.11.10) few weeks ago, if it is a bug it must be a very special one, as i didn't experience such behavior since i started using CMSMS :)
