Upgrade 1.9.1 to latest - best approach ??

Hi

I've taken over a site which will soon be replaced with probably a different CMS ...

But for now, what's the best advice to upgrade a small ten page site to latest version? Is it better to upgrade to 1.10 first (ie a stage at a time), or can I upgrade to 1.11.9 in one go? Also what is the security risk of just leaving as is (you can argue its been left a long time as is, without issue, could another couple of months hurt - I think this is a bit risky, but an upgrade of a site 4 years old will take a while?

I want to upgrade, but it sounds like a long process ..

I have taken backups of SQL and files first ... :-) I have cpanel access but not root access..

Thanks

Yes at the bottom of
http://docs.cmsmadesimple.org/upgrading ... nformation
and in menu on left.

Official advice: yes you should upgrade.

Unofficial advice: if a 4 year old site is going to be wiped and replaced in 2 months anyway (is that what you're saying?), I probably wouldn't bother...
