Line item description has no effect in view cart

The {$oneitem->summary} variable that is used to display the item description in the View Cart template for both the Cart and Cart2 no longer seems to be tied to the Line Item Description template in the CGEcommerceBase module in the Supplier Settings Tab.
When the line item description template is changed, those changes are not reflected in the summary for the line item description in the cart.
This was tested and working with the following versions of CMSMS and modules:
CMSMS: 1.9.4.3
CGEcommerceBase: 1.3.5
Products: 2.15
Cart: 1.8.1
This is no longer working with the latest versions of CMSMS and modules:
CMSMS: 1.11.10
CGEcommerceBase: 1.4.3
Products: 2.20.2
Cart: 1.10
Cart2: 1.1
Am I missing something here or is this a bug?
