News and the Web Page

At my web site, I have a problem that makes little sense to me. It may be a simple setting that I am missing. However, when one views this site,
https://www.sierraclubswmg.org/news/
the area that should contain all of the news items in date order (or so I thought) does not have any items. But it still contains the duplication of the left column news headings, which seems redundant.

I believe I am using the News module incorrectly.

Can anyone offer some insight into this for me?

Thanks.

Could you post the page template and the default content of that page?

There is no content.
CMSMS does not allow no content for default content block.

That said. You only have {News ..} tag in sidebar.
If you expect news to appear somewhere else too, there need to be a second {News} tag on that place.

When I click a News item in the side bar the details do appear in the 'main content area' by the way.

Which is confusing to me. How can their be a separate page for each item selected from the left column, but nothing appears on the main page? Am I missing some specific code?

That's how it works. By default most (if not all) modules replace {content} tag with their output (unless otherwise instructed, e.g. by 'inline' parameter or setting).

What about opening that page, type {content} {news} inside the Content, apply and check again?

Did it, but no change.

My bad, I meant {news}.

That's alright. I thought something was wrong, but I put it in the wrong edit window anyway.

By doing what you said, everything came back like it should. Basically a duplicate of the news sidebar.

Thanks.
