After 'Add to Cart' page returns to All Products

I have a page with 'Products' listed from the Products module.
In the sidebar I have a heirarchy drill down menu and a category menu.
If I drill down to a page with all muffins (for example) and click 'add to cart' the page refreshes back to the top heirarchy level. So I have to drill down again if I want more muffins.
It's breaking my brain - any ideas on how to remain on the drilled down page?
