Insert a module into a page -How?

Post by gaileder »

I am a newbie and cannot find clear documentation for this issue.

I want to include a module I have installed into a content page (in this case Company directory) .
In the editor I click on 'Insert Modules call' . The pop up says select a CMSMS module but there are no modules listed.
What am I missing?
I assumed there would be a list of installed modules available. Is there some action I need to take to make them visible?
Any help appreciated

What about just typing it manually? Or is it something you want to leave to your editors?

If so, supply more info. E.g. which editor you use, version of your cmsms and modules.

I did try to type it in manually but that does not seem to be working for me.
Apologies for not including all the detail up front. I assumed it would be me rather than the software so here goes.

Version is 1.11.9
the Company directory I am trying to use is 1.20 and all the dependencies were installed.

I am using FCKeditorX version 1.1.0

So I have tried entering {CompanyDirectory} as the help text suggests into the page content (having previously entered some companies) but nothing shows on the page.

Any help is appreciated

Have you checked the sources if the command is inserted like the help said?

Some editors are modifying that by themselves. And additionally FCKEditor is out of support for a very long time.

You should switch to MicroTiny or TinyMCE module.

FCKEditor has been stale for a very long time, I'm surprised it even shows in the admin/site...

Look in the modules Help page for the correct {tag} to use....
