[SOLVED] ListIt2 upgrade issues

I upgrade to 1.11.10, then went to Module Manager to check for updates. The only update I saw was for ListIt2 so I clicked upgrade. It then went to a blank page, and now if i try going to the website or /admin, it's nothing but blank. I check the source, and no code anywhere! yikes!
any ideas?
update1: also tried just to reinstall the latest 1.11.10 and when going through the upgrade.php, it stops on Step 6
update2: ok... upgraded my PHP to 5.4.24 and was able to get through the upgrade.php process completely, but when i click to go to the admin panel, it still pulls up just blank white, nothing there. no code
update3: removed ListIt2 and MyListIt2Clone from the modules folder completely, the website came back up and admin came back up, but of course the pages that had ListIt on them throw an error. How can I get these 2 modules back installed and working?
update4: was able to put the ListIt2 folder back and the site worked fine. But when I tried to put MyListIt2Clone back, the website went blank again. Any tips on getting a ListIt2 Clone to work?

Blank page indicates usually PHP error.
Please enable error reporting and set error report level strict enough to see PHP warnings and errors.
When you have done this, paste error here.

when I install ListIt2, it works fine, it's just when the ListIt2 instance is put back on the web server. So could that be something in the SQL database possibly corrupt when I attempted to upgrade? Just weird that it may be the server PHP settings if it works with ListIt2 installed but not with the instance

Check if upgrade process actually kicked in:
After you upgraded Core module, go into instance folde: ListIt2Services
Check that module name looks: ListIt2Services.module.php
If it does open file with editor and check that upgrade script changed hash to actual module name:
Bad:
Line 31: class 024fc70d51074c9f42ee7f917c37b4ed extends ListIt2
Good
Line 31: class ListIt2Services extends ListIt2
Also clear any old template folder inside instance folder.

That appears to do it! It made it where when I went to ListIt2 under Extensions, I saw ListIt2Services and it said it wasn't up to date (hasn't done that before). So I clicked the checkmark to update it, and once this completed, It showed up successfully under the Content portion of the site and displayed on the website perfectly!
Thanks for you knowledge and willingness to help. It is much appreciated!

I'm having this issue on a separate site I'm upgrading, except this time I'm getting the error
Code: Select all
[Fri May 16 21:28:08 2014] [error] [client ip address] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in /home/www/mysite.com/modules/ListIt2/ListIt2.module.php on line 116
