CMS Made Simple Forums

Hi, I am new to C-M-S and am running 1.9.4.1. This is not my site, and not my install. I am a new dev that had to take over from a previous one so I am flying blind. This may have been answered but after Googling and searching forums I must have missed it.

Problem: Trying to add a new content page.

I get the error: You must select a parent page (contact your administrator if you do not see this option).



I am the administrator and reviewed the troubleshooting however had no luck at all.

Another interesting fact although possible unrelated is I'm getting a double menu. See image below:



If that is unrelated then ignore it, I just wasn't sure if it was a cause or not so I included it.

'Double' menu is normal though on a working backend the content pages are between those menus

Try to troubleshoot with debug mode enabled (will affect frontend too!)

As per the links above, I started by trying to clear the cache.

Site Admin -> Global Settings -> Clicked Clear under Cache
Clicked Submit at the bottom

All content pages appeared (I had thought previously they were deleted and was trying to recreate them)

Parent now appears when creating a Content Page.
