Newbies install problem

Hi I have just built a new web site with v1.11.9 Bartolome as a fresh install. On my localhost the web site looks ok and runs ok.

However when I have uploaded it to the host server the templates now look weird and in the admin area the menus on the left of the control panel have frozen but everything works fine on my local host.

Any input would be most appreciated.

Hi Tiberia, have a look to this post: http://forum.cmsmadesimple.org/viewtopi ... =3&t=68355
Perhaps, your issue has the same cause described there (wrong permissions on folders)

Hi Nervino

Many thanks for replying to my post.

I had a look at the topic and tried it and unfortunately the permission settings were already correct.

By the presentation how the site looked it, it showed that the browser was cutting a lot of the content out.

So I went into system maintenance-cache and content-Update page hierarchy positions and hey presto it worked!!

I hope that this tip may be useful to some one else.

a little better for some help on that.

However,

sounds like a Mod Security issue, as the thread that nervino mentioned suggests. My host switches it off for me and the left hand menus work fine after that.

Annoying when a new user's second post doesn't show up until after you've replied ::)

Glad you got it sorted.
