NMS - bounces

Helllo,

I have one simply question, I have a little language problem with Newsletter Made Simple module.

In the newsletter list there is column named "bounce count", what does it exactly means? Number of sent newsletters to this person? Anything else? This word (bounce) has a lot of meanings but no one fits me well for this situation.

Thanks :-)

I guess it is the number of mailmessages (failure/out of office) you received back after sending to that emailaddress.

NMS must be configured to read the mailbox in order to be able to count.

Jos:
There are two fields, "Bounce count" and "Error count".

I suppose that you describe Error count, or not? If not and you have the truth, what should be than the Error Count?

Error means error on sending newsletter, a bounce is a message/mail back, if newsletter couldn't delivered - maybe the email address does not exists or recipient postbox is ful or something else like that.

The settings of NMS give you the possibility to block an email address after a fixed number of bounces.
