I would like to see a backup-restore feature added to CMSMS.

I just added a module to the Wiki for this very purpose:

This module provides two functions:
  1. It will dump your database into a flat file, which can then be copied somewhere offsite in order to back up your CMS site.
  2. It will take a dump file, and restore your CMS database to the state at the time the dump was made.

Disclaimer: This Module has only been tested under a single instance of MySQL. It has not been tested under any other database. Bugs and/or user error CAN RESULT IN LOSING YOUR DATA. Test in a non-production environment, and manually back up your data first!
