Hi Guys

Upgraded this morning from Version 1.11.7 to 1.11.8 using the Difference file and all appeared to go well until this evening when I went to use the News Module ... and it wasn't in the 'Content' drop-down Menu. Don't know where it is now.

The module is listed as present under 'Extensions' --> 'Modules' (version 2.13) and I was going to Uninstall it and re-install ... but I can't because it's part of the Core Package and so not available separately.

If I look at the raw MySQL Database, it's listed in 'cms_modules' under 'status' as 'installed', there are lots of sub tables under 'cms_module_news' so it is definitely there.

So, can anybody tell me what I need to do to get it back please?

Do I need to do a fresh Install (I did a full back-up immediately before upgrading from 1.11.7 to 1.11. or is there another way please?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Just checked the other sites I run (all up to date today to 1.11. and out of five sites I run, only two show the News Menu option, and three don't. I'll have to try and do a comparison with the System Information from a working website to one that isn't working.

Did you try to clear the cache from each site after upgrade?

No, I didn't ... and guess what! The News menu is there now.
