Module for Job Listings (Recruitment)

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a module for managing job vacancy listings? I've trawled through the Forge with no luck :(

I did find a YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDl0Sq6vBe0) which seems to be describing the use of just that sort of module but can't find any other mention of it?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Geoff.

I vaguely remember hearing about a Jobs module. It may have been a custom module, a module made with something like Module Maker or it was removed from the development forge for inactivity and not being compatible with modern CMSMS.

That being said, you do not need a module specifically made for Job listings. A module that would very easily do what you want would be ListIt2 or ListItExtended (LI2 - http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/listit2)

This module allows you to define categories, custom fields and create a list with various types of display.

Another supplemental module to LI2 would be ListIt2ExtendedDefs. This module gives you additional field types to work with. http://dev.cmsmadesimple.org/projects/listit2xdefs

Hi Tyman,

Thanks for your message. ListIt2 was looking like a candidate so your recommendation is really useful. I've just started playing with it on a test installation and I see FEUs can potential post to it from Form Builder so that's answered another question!

I'll have a play around with this combination as it looks pretty powerful and seems to answer all the functionality requirements.

Thanks again!

Geoff.

I would suggest using Cataloger, which is similar to ListIt2. This tutorial will help you get started with the module.

The reason I suggest it is because this job listing website was built using Cataloger. (Note the search is not related to Cataloger, it is custom PHP.)
