Specific Permissions for FEU?

Hi

Has anyone done something like this?

I am close to launching a Golf Club website View Site

At the club, there are a number of folks who will manage content.

Is there a module/s that will allow me to set permission for a FEU to modify a specific page or news/blog item without access to other pages/news/blog items?

As far as I can see at the mo. I can assign access to a group that can modify ALL pages or news etc.

I'm sure I saw a module a few weeks ago that pretty much does wnat I want but I must be going senile as I can't see it now...

Help please... ::)

a FrontEndUser typically cannot work with pages (Content >> Pages). There is code to allow them to add news articles, but IIRC they can only add articles. They cannot edit/delete articles.

The CGBlog module allows FEU users a bit more power. FEU Users can add/edit/delete their own blog articles, but not those of others.

I think what you want to do is to give users restricted admin privileges. Admin privileges are fine grained for content pages. However, permissions are not given on individual news or blog articles. Permissions exist to authorize admin users to add/edit/delete any news article, and similar permissions exist for the CGBlog module.

Thanks CalGuy

I'll install CGBlog tomorrow.

I suspect that I can create a number of templates and embed them in a variety of ways that will suit my intentions.

Thanks again.
