background color... changes with menu template?

For customcontent i needed a duplicate of my menutemplate.
So i made a new with menu manager, copied the layout template and refferred to the new menu template...
BUT.... when i click a menuitem linked with the new menu template... the backgroundcolor changes from the default grey (specified in the layout template colours) to white...
A looked everywhere but i cannot find why... Anyone knows why this changede, and more specific... how do i make it not to change?
