Problem with Module Manager not 'sharing any modules'

Running new installation of CMSMS 1.11.7

No modules after the letter C listed when searched for in Module Manager .

On-screen message says: 'Although a connection was successfully made to the specified module repository. It appears that this repository is not yet sharing any modules'

Module Manager won't let me 'search term' search either.

There does seems to be a problem. Modules included in the initial program installation seem to be working OK.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Martin

Every now and then the module repository server needs to be reset/re-indexed AFAIK. That takes a bit over an hour or two. Modules start to reaper by alphabetic order...

Please reset again. I am having problems with a "repository is not yet sharing any modules" response when I select to view under the letter T.

Thanks.

Just tried again. See screenshot attached.

When first I accessed the manager, a popup message stated that there was a problem with the communications, but it went away too fast to capture it.

I can see more stuff to the beginning of the alphabet, under S there is only one item.

Is there some kind of refresh that should be done somewhere to make this connect correctly?

PS: Is there some way to get the forum to accept longer file names? I keep having to rename files to upload here. Of the literally dozens and dozens of forums I attend, this is the only one that requires it. Thanks.

are you running this on a local dev environment or live server?

just a guess - but it sounds like one of those is stopping your install seeing the module server

can you go to:
Site Admin / System Information

and let me know if there are any issues reported there?

In the cmsms menu go to:

Site Admin / System Information

Scan the list - report back anything that doesn't get a green tick!

If the sites isn't sensitive in anyway, would you send me a copy? I can test it on my servers and then at least rule the cms itself out (potentially)

There are a lot that don't have a red X or a green check mark, but this one always has a red X:

config_file Failure 0755 config.php writable. It is more safe if you change permission to read-only

thats an issue you should fix for security, but shouldnt be impacting the Module stuff.

Hmmm - would you be willing to send me the files/give me access to the server so i can probe a little deeper for you?
