system for pay site

I need to build a site that can allow a user to create an account, make payment by paypal or credit card, and then based on the package purchased, allow access to a specific set of pages. Also, there needs to be more than 1 set of pages or packages that can be purchased. Access to pages that have not been purchased needs to be blocked. This is going to be a music lesson site, so think of each set of pages as a lesson.
I have used the front end users module and I think that it can be used as part of the solution but I cannot find a payment module that will interface with it to regulate the pages accessible. This seems like it would be a common function for web sites so I am hoping that there is an easy way to do it.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
