I`ve used search for this problem but cant find a answer. and I have read the documentation articles about the image manager but cant get it right.

I have 1.06 beta and GD installed on the server.
Images are all uploaded with the imagemanager.

imagemanager doesnt create thumbsnails for all images.

I have a path uploads/images/layout/buttons there is does make thumbs
another path uploads/images/buttons some other small buttons but there is doesnt create thumbs
btw: both have only .gifs in them.

next path uploads/images/submenu there again it creates images from the small gifs
4th path uploads/images/layout which holds both big and very small images it doenst create any thumbs

I have another 1.05 beta installed ... which has 2 image paths ..but no thumbs at all.

I also have an old 0.13 version installed, and there is no problem at all all thumbs create fine !

changing the umask didnt work :(

hope someone can help
thanks in advance

Patricia  (off topic)

Are there specific settings for php 5 that are diff. than php 4, I've seen some posts that mention problems and they are running php 5, just wondering if they have to do with php 5 or not...

i have a similar problem.... on dreamhost, can not modify images nor do thumbnails appear.

modifying images... the system times out virtually forever ;-)

any help is much appreciated. could it be a php5 problem? I am using imagemagick.

thank you,

david
